New Photo Added - Clarity In The Midst Of Confusion

This one was taken on top of Slacker Hill in the Marin Headlands. It's a popular spot for low fog and The Golden Gate Bridge, but can be susceptible to wind and atmospheric haze depending on weather conditions especially when using a telephoto lens. It's easily accessed by a 20 minute hike via a fire road from parking spots along Conzelman Road.

This image was captured on a full frame sensor and telephoto lens on the short end (70mm) and the composition is most certainly not golden ratio or rule of thirds. I opted for more of a diagonal or competing comparison of the fog and bridge with the San Francisco skyline in the distance. This is partially because I didn't want to change lenses in the brisk wind as dust spots are more of a pain in the rear when post processing than anything else.

On the processing side of it, this is one of the rare occasions where I dodged alittle bit of the hill to pbring out the detail without increasing the noise or using noise reduction. I tend to opt for more of a natural look, but I need just alittle bit more luminosity in the details there.

On a interesting facts side of things from here, you can see four bay area bridges from here on a clear, crisp day or evening. Those bridges would be The Golden Gate Bridge, Bay Bridge, San Mateo-Hayward Bridge, and Dumbarton Bridge. For future reference sake, you can see an additional bay area Bridge, The Richmond / San Rafael Bridge, from the top of Angel Island....bringing that total to five.

Hope everyone had a Happy Easter!
